Grand Burlesque Night Out: Shows & Party!
The biggest (yet intimate) event of the Amsterdam Burlesque Festival is hosted by Madame Risquee, one of the pioneers of Burlesque in the Netherlands, alongside The Netherlands’ most renowned burlesque star: Fay Loren.
The night will unfold as a lively dance soiree featuring spectacular shows and revues: Burlesque Party Follies: Where Glam Meets Fun!
More than a dozen local and international artists will showcase vintage style and surprising new acts.
Onstage, you’ll see the likes of feminist performer Zizi Zinnona, the classical burlesque artist Miss Chrissy Kiss, vaudeville artist Vinny Velvet , former queen of the summer carnival Miss Whitney. Mistress of ceremonies Lady Marmalade, Miss Cartier and many more to be announced. As the pièce de résistance, Fay Loren will shine in her gigantic champagne glass, surrounded by breathtaking show dancers.
Between and after the shows, we invite you to dance, flirt, and savor refreshing drinks and chic cocktails. The Retro and Vintage Burlesque Beats spun by DJ Charley will further elevate the atmosphere, transforming the night into an exceptional celebration.
Come Dressed to impress
Come Dressed to impress and to have fun, step into this nightclub setting as the Candy Girls delight the audience, you’ll feel transported to the glamorous world of a Hollywood musical or a film-noir/glamour film set, as if Marilyn Monroe or Bettie Page could stroll in at any moment. Think of movies like The Great Gatsby, Boardwalk Empire, Peaky Blinders, Moulin Rouge and Babylon.
Dress styles: golden-era Hollywood, risqué renaissance, or masked madness. From the roaring 20s, fabulous 40s, and the playful 50s to the seductive 60s, you become an integral part of the show!
Burlesque Artists
Lady Marmalade (US/NL)
Is one of the very first MC’s in the Dutch burlesque world and has left an unmistakable imprint ever since. Known for her quick wit, versatility and intimate conversations with her audience, she makes sure that each evening is absolutely unique.
Fay Loren
Co producer of this festival night is an international burlesque performer from Amsterdam. With her personally created acts, she exemplifies how femininity and elegance go hand-in-hand with strength and determination. As a burlesque artist, model, and social influencer, Fay serves as a style icon and inspiration for women of all ages.
Tom The Spice
A talented dancer, choreographer, and designer, blends his passions into stunning performances. Inspired by music and movement, he’s mastered high heels dance, founding THE ROCKETTES HEELS.
Miss Whitney
Professional dancer and dance teacher, Queen of the Summer Carnival wil bring a tribute act to Josephine Baker but is also part of Fay Loren’s entourage.

Miss Cartier
A jazz vocalist, burlesque performer, and reality TV icon with Parisian flair. For her, Pride means embracing authenticity and confidence, regardless of identity, and sharing that joy with others
Miss Behave
Miss Behave (BE), ranked among the world’s top 10 burlesque dancers, views burlesque as a true body positivity movement. As a burlesque entrepreneur, she not only performs but also creates, produces, and hosts shows with passion and flair.
Zizi Zinnona
Her performances are characterized by her keen sense of humor, dramatic flair, unconventional music choices and voluptuous body. Her custom blend of politics and playfulness, feminism and froufrou, comedy and curves makes her one of the Netherlands’ most beloved performers.
Vinny Velvet (BE)
Vaudeville performer, actor and even a manager at ‘ Magical World of Circus’.
He is vintage charm and allure, with a playful wink you won’t forget.
DJ Charley
The most experienced DJ regarding ´Burlesque Party Music´ will bring his unique Wurlitzer Jukebox / DJ Booth! He plays ´20´s/80´s music, vintage and retro. From Swing, via Rock ad Roll to Disco. All for your dancing pleasure!
Maggie Leroux
Having her heart in theatre and glitter running through her veins, Maggie Leroux was born to burlesque. They say cats have nine lives and Maggie is living them all at once. She’s a performer, producer and renowned stage kitten in The Netherlands.

WESTERUNIE is an impressive club with an industrial interior. It’s a charming space that used to be part of the gasworks built in 1883!
Westerunie is located right in the middle of the Cultural Hotspot “The Westergas” next to the iconic Gashouder.
It’s located in Westerpark, between the Central Station and the A10-West, making it easily accessible by both public transportation and by car or bicycle. With a Q-park just 500 meters away, there is ample parking available.

HOW TO GET THERE;
BY BICYCLE
Are you coming by bike? Definitely the easiest way! The terrain is easily accessible with a bicycle and there are plenty of bicycle parking options.
BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
From Central Station take bus 21. Get off at van Hallstraat/Westergasfabriek. At night you can take the bus 283 from and to Central Station from Van Limburg Stirumstraat.
Are you coming from the city center? Take tram 5 and get off at Van Limburg Stirumplein or at van Hallstraat/Westergasfabriek.
BY CAR
Westergas is a Car-free zone. However you can park closely on the streets or in Qpark Westerpark at only 200 meters distance of Westerunie.
This show is semi-seated: you can choose between a seat or a standing spot. It is not possible to reserve a seat in advance, so seating is not guaranteed on this evening (except for those with reduced mobility—please let us know in advance or arrive early!. Please note: there is a large staircase leading to the venue, and the elevator is for goods only.)
