The Amsterdam Burlesque Festival is the brainchild of Madame Risquée and Fay Loren, two pioneers in the Dutch burlesque scene.

 

Madame Risquée (DJ Charley/Marco Buschman) was one of the founders of the first major burlesque shows and parties in the Netherlands in 2007. Later, his iconic events like Burlesque FreakOut, Midnite Burlesque and the Amsterdam Burlesque Weekend have helped launch countless performers. See also AmsterdamBurlesque.com.

 

Fay Loren, the Netherlands’ most celebrated burlesque artist, discovered burlesque at 16 and fell in love with its inclusivity and glamour. Now internationally acclaimed, she performs globally and organizes unique events, blending sophistication and artistry. Learn more at FayLoren.com.

 

For the 2025 festival the above work together with ‘Sultry Sway‘ which was founded by three burlesque enthusiast. Juliette Sway, Lady Lou l’Amour, and Caramella Cream shared a dream of creating their own show.
